harry potter 30-day challenge

see, remember when i said that there's more to my life than baby-making?  well, since i'm clearly 5 years old, harry potter is a big part of my life.  i know it sounds completely dorky and childish, but i love harry potter.  i love the books, i love the movies, i love the stories, i love the characters, i love the spells, i love the imagination...every little thing about it.  in fact, i love it so much that, even though i never ever ever wanted to get a tattoo, i'm seriously considering getting something little like this.

i know it sounds extreme, but harry potter had a pretty significant impact on my life.  by the way, yes, i am a card-carrying member of the nerd herd.

anyway, sweet krysten over at why girls are weird has been doing this challenge for the past few weeks, and i have really enjoyed it and always think about what my answers would be if i participated.  so, i'm participating!  every week (i'll try to do every saturday, but no promises!) i'll answer one question from the challenge.  so, to kick things off...

1. your favorite book

harry potter and the order of the phoenix - year 5.  i loved this book because it develops the relationship between sirius and harry, as well as the relationship between harry and dumbledore.  we gain a better understanding of why voldemort is after harry, aside from the fact that harry survived the killing curse as a baby.  we see the friendship between harry, ron, and hermione deepen.  we are introduced to luna lovegood.  dumbledore's army is formed, and students learn the valuable skills needed to fight dark magic.  and we see, once again, what is the one thing that will always make harry stronger than voldemort - love.
